Sugar Cookies Recipe
Tasty.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup shortening & butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups AP flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt

- Cookie sheet(s)
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix together shortening, sugar, eggs, vanilla.
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt.
Mix flour mixture into egg mixture. Use big spoon to carefully mix together.
Chill an hour.
Roll out 1/8 inch thick.
Cut into desired shapes.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar, if desired.
Bake until golden brown, 6 to 8 minutes.

The flour/egg mixture should be mixed carefully to prevent gluten buildup.
