Egg Custard Recipe

I have made this many times. Always turns out well.




Preheat oven to 325 deg F

Whisk together milk, eggs.

Add in sugar, salt, vanilla extract and whisk well.

Fill custard cups with egg mixture and place in baking pan. Sprinkle each one with nutmeg.

Fill baking pan with hot water until half the cup is submerged.

Place baking pan on middle rack in oven and cook 1 hour.

Let cool. I take the cups out and let them cool on a cookie rack. Refrigerate uneaten portions.

Doug's Notes

A casserole dish can be used instead of custard cups.
